You’re a good student, right? Show up to class on time. Study every day. Do your homework. But sometimes you may not go to school.

Miss a day here, another there, no big deal right? Wrong. You still run the risk of falling behind by missing 2 or more days a month. That will make you chronically absent, jeopardizing your plans for a better life.

The way out is to stay in.

If you need help getting to class the community is here to help you. We want to see you succeed!

The United Way of Southeast Michigan’s 2-1-1 service provides resources and can point you in touch with programs in Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Washtenaw, Monroe and Lapeer counties.

You can make a difference in how people perceive Chronic Absence.

Using the hashtag #2DaysTooMany, students will engage and inform conversations about Chronic Absence, along with fellow students who express the importance of not missing two days a month. We will also have social media challenges that reward students who can get the message out about chronic absence in a fun and effective manner.

Take part in the challenges and make a difference. Follow us on Instagram and Facebook.
