Our mission is to increase awareness of Chronic Absence.

Chronic absenteeism is a major problem. 56% of all the students in Detroit Public Schools Community District (DPSCD) and area Charter schools miss an average of 2 days a month over the course of the school year. As a result, they’re considered “chronically absent.”

That means they’ll be less likely to read at grade level, to stay out of trouble, to graduate high school and to generally succeed in life. Just as troubling, over 78% of people don’t know what Chronic Absence means.

Parents need to help their children understand the importance of a full education. Click below to find out how we can work together to get our kids to school, each and every day. And that’s a gift we can give our children, our students and our future.
